I want to serve with my resources:

• Donate hygiene products for teenagers or laundry detergent to Buckner foster homes.
• Donate placement care packages for Buckner foster children
(blanket, Bible, stuffed animal, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
• Sponsor a child in Buckner foster homes on their birthday. Provide a cake and small party favors for children.
• Donate nonperishable foods to Cal Farley’s Genie Farley Harriman Center for Women and Children: canned meats, pastas, fruit and vegetables; rice, pasta and instant potatoes; soups and sauces; and hot and cold breakfast cereal.
• Provide snacks for the day program at High Point Village.

• Donate items to Hope Lodge. Always needed are laundry detergent, bleach, food storage containers, paper napkins, paper towels, Styrofoam cups (10 oz.), white copy paper, Kleenex, Lysol spray and Sprayaway glass cleaner.
• Donate hygiene products for all ages to the Dream Center
(trial-size shampoos or soaps, Depends, feminine hygiene products, etc.).
• Sponsor a backpack for $10 each to be distributed at the Dream Center in August.
• Donate food items to the pantry at the Dream Center. Call for specific food needs.
• Donate clothing items for all ages and sizes to the Dream Center.
• Donate construction materials for renovations at Malta Farms.
Also needed are home furnishing items, twin-size mattresses and bed frames, tables and chairs.
• Donate food and hygiene items as well as clothing to Lubbock Impact.
• Donate clothing, household items and food for Mission Lubbock.
Food items include macaroni and cheese, canned fruit and vegetables, spaghetti sauce, dry beans and rice.
• Donate meal supplies for New Light Baptist Church
(sealable sandwich bags, brown paper bags, cookies, box drinks and chips).
• Donate school supplies for New Light Baptist Church’s backpack outreach in August. Contact the church for specific items needed.
• Donate baby items including diapers of all sizes, clothing and hygiene items for Parent Life Lubbock.
• Donate baby supplies for Parkridge Pregnancy Center.
Needed items include diapers, wipes, shampoo, body wash, rash cream, lotion and thermometers.
• Donate items for Southcrest Christian School’s annual silent auction fundraiser. (contact is Jane Bash)
• Donate art items for Thrive Church. Needed items include copy paper, poster board, construction paper, crayons, pencils, pens, easels and children’s Bibles.

I want to serve with my time:

• Host holiday activities for Buckner foster group homes or High Point Village (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, July 4, etc.).
• Host game days for children at Buckner foster home (soccer, baseball, etc.) or social events at High Point Village.
• Do light repair work on recreational area, picnic tables, etc. at Buckner children’s home.
• Serve as a lifeguard for the outdoor pool at Cal Farley’s.
• Plan and teach a Bible lesson for children at Cal Farley’s.
• Serve on the Good News Club team at Wheelock Elementary with Child Evangelism Fellowship.
• Take the kids to play games and visit residents in the backyard at Heartland House.
• Lead a Bible study for residents at Heartland House.
• Serve as a counselor at summer camps through High Point Village. Dates vary for elementary and high school camps.
• Teach a class at High Point Village using your own hobby or talent such as painting or other art, singing or choir, etc.
• Help with an after-school program at High Point Village on Mondays through Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
• Volunteer with the Reach High program at High Point Village on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Host a group dinner for patients and companions at Hope Lodge.
• Host a craft time or game night for patients and companions at Hope Lodge.
• Take a small shift of cleaning duties at Hope Lodge.
• Host international students in your home during holidays.
• Help prepare breakfast on Saturday mornings at the Dream Center for clients to the food pantry.
• Help pack grocery bags and carry out at the Dream Center food pantry on Saturday mornings.
• Do landscaping, yard work or home repairs for those in need through the Dream Center.
• Serve in the clothing closet at the Dream Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-4 p.m.
• Serve as a greeter for the Sunday morning worship service at the Dream Center.
• Provide haircuts to those in need through the Dream Center (licensed beautician or barber only).
• Serve as a mentor and Bible class teacher at Malta Farms (males).
• Drive a van to pick up and drop off at Lubbock Impact for Wednesday night activities. (Two adults per van needed.)
• Prepare and/or serve Wednesday night meals at Lubbock Impact (3:30 – 7 p.m.).
• Help with registration at the Lubbock Impact dental clinic on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
• Pack and/or deliver food backpacks to school children though Mission Lubbock.
Packing is on Wednesday afternoons; delivery is on Fridays before 2 p.m.
• Sort clothing and household items donated to Mission Lubbock. Usually done on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. but other times are available. Volunteers must be at least 18.
• Prepare and serve Wednesday afternoon meals at New Light Baptist Church; deliver meals to shut-ins.
• Collect supplies and pack backpacks for New Light Baptist Church’s “Bible in Every Backpack” event in August.
• Sort and organize clothing and other donations at the closet at Parent Life Lubbock.
• Prepare a meal for the participants at the Parent Life Lubbock weekly classes.
• Host a baby shower for a new mom through Parkridge Pregnancy Center.
• Prepare a meal for the Bridge classes for new moms at Parkridge Pregnancy Center (Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.)
• Serve as a client advocate at Parkridge Pregnancy Center. Requires training class and a weekly commitment for one year.
• Prepare and serve a meal for about 40 residents at the Ronald McDonald House.
Bring all needed ingredients and cook in the RMH kitchen for dinner ready by 6 p.m.
• Bake desserts for residents at the Ronald McDonald House, using the ovens in the RMH kitchen.
• Help with cleaning shifts at the Ronald McDonald House. All supplies are provided for cleaning the common areas of the house.
• Contact local businesses about donating items for the Southcrest Christian School silent auction in April (contact Jane Bash)
• Listen to children from Southcrest Christian School read to you (Cumberland Campus) (contact Marcy Graves)
• Help with lunch duty at Southcrest Christian School from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. any weekday on either main or Cumberland campus (report to kitchen)
• Coordinate service project ideas for Southcrest Christian School (contact Regina Hendrix)
• Help with Southcrest Christian School’s chess club, meeting Mondays from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
